| City Technology Introduce New 4-20mA
Transmitter Boards
City Technology, has designed and developed a new microprocessor based 4-20mA board for use with their 3 Series range of toxic gas sensors for safety applications.
A principle benefit of using transmitter sensors is that they can be pre-calibrated away from end-users' monitoring sites, and once installed, are ready for use. City Technology supply these transmitters fully calibrated to the users specified range so being ready to use immediately on receipt. The board's previous analogue design necessitated a timeconsuming, manual calibration process, whereby the user was required to adjust potentiometers on the board in order to set the span and zero. The new microprocessor board removes the need for potentiometers and simply requires a button to be pressed when zero and span gas is applied so making calibration quicker and simpler to perform. City Technology is a leading supplier of electrochemical, catalytic bead, infra-red and semiconductor gas sensors to OEMs around the world.
